Relationships, Sex & Health Education (RSHE)
RSHE is now a statutory subject taught across the entire primary curriculum. RSHE endeavours to prepare pupils for adult life by ensuring they have a full understanding of health, looking after each other, e-safety and holding healthy and mutual relationships.
Our RSHE curriculum is taught through the Ten:Ten scheme of work 'Life to the Full' which is endorsed by the Southwark Diocese and Bishop's Conference of England and Wales. All lessons are age appropriate.
In KS2, some lessons will be held in gender groups. You will be consulted prior to the lessons being taught however unable to 'opt-out' as the subject is now statutory.
However, in Year 6 there is one lesson in Module 3 which you are able to 'opt-out'.
Each Year Group follows three modules:
- Module 1: Created and Loved by God
- Module 2: Created to Love Others
- Module 3: Created to Live in Community
